Data Cleansing

Data cleansing is an important process to data management. It keeps data consistent, clean of errors, and more accurate. The difference between data validation and data cleaning is that generally, validation occurs when the data is entered for the first time into the database. Data cleansing, however, can occur anytime after to check and make sure that data is correct and there are no errors. Cleanup usually occurs in batch sizes and can be done interactivly or through a script.
