Loading and Extracting data on OneStream XF is fairly simple. It is a more convenient way to extract XF objects from the application/framework to XML and then loaded into another application. Basically, you can load templates (which will look like XML files) or extract backup. Metadata, dashboards, and business rules are uploaded as flat files. If you do a full backup, it only extracts the structure not data (all except data and FX).

Object Examples

Some examples you can load/extract under application objects are: dimensions, cube views, dashboards, transformation rules, and application zip file (does not include rates and data).

Some examples you can load/extract under system objects are: security, error logs, task activity, and snippets.
